Benzema congratulates French squad and staff on reaching final

An Antoine Griezmann brace fired France into the final of Euro 2016, and Karim Benzema offered a message of support for the entire squad, moving on from earlier criticisms of the technical staff surrounding the controversy of the Real Madrid player not getting called up.

The Real Madrid striker was left out of the French squad due to a blackmailing scandal involving teammate Mathieu Valbuena, though the player insisted coach Deschamps was vowing to a racist part of France's past.

"Bravo to the entire team and staff, but there is still one match remaining," said Benzema, looking to put his comments in the past and show his unconditional support to the national team.
