Chelsea and Eva Carneiro have confidentially settled the dismissal case that the latter took against the club, along with the legal action she took against Jose Mourinho.
On Monday, it was revealed that Carneiro had turned down a €1.5 million settlement from the Blues, however, the proceedings have indeed come to an end on Tuesday, albeit with the terms remaining undisclosed.
Jose Mourinho, who reportedly called the doctor a 'daughter of a whore' in Portuguese after she entered onto the pitch against Swansea City in August to treat Eden Hazard, has not personally commented on the conclusion to proceedings but Chelsea did release a statement on the matter.
"The club regrets the circumstances which led to Dr Carneiro leaving the club and apologises unreservedly to her and her family for the distress caused," the statement read. "We wish to place on record that in running onto the pitch Dr Carneiro was following both the rules of the game and fulfilling her role towards the players as a doctor, putting their safety first."
Jose Mourinho also thanks Dr Carneiro for the excellent and dedicated support she provided as First Team Doctor and he wishes her a successful career."
