Spurs have a new home for next season’s Champions League fixtures

Spurs fans are getting ready to say goodbye to White Hart Lane, the stadium they’ve flocked to since 1899.
The club plan to open their new stadium in time for the 2018/19 season leaving Daniel Levy with the task of finding a temporary home for 2017/18.
And by the looks of it Spurs will be playing their football at Wembley, after announcing plans to play next season’s Champions League fixtures at England’s home stadium.
The move is necessary to meet UEFA requirements with stadium works at White Hart Lane potentially proving problematic.
MK Dons and Brighton’s stadiums had both been mentioned as possibilities but in the end a deal for the 90,000 capacity Wembley suited all parties.
It shouldn’t be too traumatic a move considering half of the England team is supplied by Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
The agreement provides an option to play all Premier League and cup games at Wembley during the 2017/18 campaign.
That’s one way of making sure you’re going to Wembley every other week.
