Mohamed Elneny has spoken of his pride at picking up an Arsenal award after his January move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Egypt international received back-to-back Arsenal player of the month awards in March and April after a brilliant start to his career as a Gunners player.
Elneny moved to the north London club in an £8m deal from Swiss champions Basel as Arsene Wenger sought to bolster his midfield options.
The 23-year-old scored his only Arsenal goal so far in a 3-1 defeat by Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Champions League last 16 earlier this year.
And Elneny's strike against the La Liga champions was voted Arsenal's goal of the season, much to the delight of the Egyptian.
Elneny posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: "Thanks Allah and thanks everyone for choosing my goal as the best in the season .. More to come next year!! #COYG"
The defensive midfielder could soon have a new team-mate in the centre of the park amid reports Arsenal are closing in on Borussia Monchengladbach star Granit Xhaka.
