Remember Jack Wilshere?
He’s the bloke who was tipped to follow in Paul Gascoigne’s, Steven Gerrard’s and Roy of the Rovers’ footsteps by leading England to glory. At some point.
Well the Arsenal midfielder has yet to play for the first team this season after sustaining an injury in pre-season, but is reportedly close to making his return.
The 24-year-old could do with brushing up on his Arsenal history too, if this tweet is anything to go by.
After he was left out of the side to face Crystal Palace, Wilshere took to social media to post the following:
All seems pretty standard on first inspection.
But if you look closely, the statue at the bottom is actually Manchester United’s ‘Holy Trinity’ of George Best, Dennis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton.
Good luck trying to explain that one, Jack.
