Claudio Ranieri Reveals Who He'd Like To Play Him In The Jamie Vardy Movie

Jon Moss tried very hard today to get himself a character in the Jamie Vardy Movie and he may well succeed having sent the Leicester City striker off in controversial circumstances. But what about another leading role, Claudio Ranieri?

Yes plans are in place by English film producer Adrian Butchart, whose most famous work comes in the Goal series (the greatest sports films ever made, if not greatest films of all genres), to make a movie about the Foxes striker and his non league to potential Premier League champion story.

And when asked about the possibility of Robert De Niro playing him in the film Claudio Ranieri seemed very interested saying:

"I heard something about that. Why not? He's a fantastic actor."

Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson and Louis Tomlinson are all in the frame to play Vardy despite none of them having the rough tough feel that the footballer exudes in buckets. And talking of tough, Vinnie Jones is favourite to play former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson.

We'd love to see De Niro in the film and it would no doubt be a better role than his one in the Meet the Family series.
