Erik Lamela travels to Rome with his girlfriend after Tottenham beat Man Utd

Erik Lamela enjoyed some well-earned downtime with his girlfriend in Rome on Monday afternoon after playing a key role in helping Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United 3-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Argentina playmaker scored one and set up another as Mauricio Pochettino’s men ran riot with three second-half goals in front of their home fans.

The victory kept Tottenham’s Premier League title bid on track and left them seven points behind leaders Leicester City in the table.

And Lamela was all smiles as he enjoyed a stroll around Rome with his girlfriend on Monday afternoon.

Playmaker Lamela posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Enjoying my day off in Rome walking around the city with my love #panteon #rome”

Lamela will be expecting to be involved when Tottenham return to Premier League action with a trip to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City next Monday night.

Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino last season.
