The Text Messages Adam Johnson Sent To Secret Lover While Awaiting Jail Sentence Revealed

Former Sunderland player Adam Johnson flirted with a secret lover, days before he was sentenced to six years in jail.

The former England interntional, who is currently serving time at HMP Armley in Leeds, was convicted of sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16.

We told you that Adam Johnson was already receiving some unusual gifts during his time in prison and now, further expose has revealed that he was texting a 'secret' lover days before his conviction.

The Mirror report that Johnson sent several messages to his lover, including messages about his potential career prospects, serving time and his conviction.

The former England international said the following about his serving time:

"I will be fine, it's just getting it done and getting out and passing time writing letters"

Johnson also revealed his future plans after his jail sentence,. He also stated to his secret lover that he expected to serve just "a couple of years"

"Yeah let's wait and see not holding my breath thou. Hopefully play again but maybe in another country."

The 28-year-old said this about his conviction:

"Yeah it's all a joke just for one stupid kiss and that's it."

And flirted with her,...

"I bet you are tanned. I'm so white. Wish i was by the pool. I'm only a bit jealous."

The report also states that Johnson continued contacting the woman until he was jailed on March 24, even urging her to write him when in prison but she has cut off contact with the former Sunderland winger.

She said to Johnson: "We are finished"
