Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared on the programme Luyin Jichengzhe, on the Chinese television station Zhejiang Satellite TV. In the latest instalment, the Real Madrid star was the surprise guest of two of the young Chinese players who have been featured in the show.
Ronaldo has always said that the birth of his son changed his life in a way he could never have imagined, and Cristiano Jr is playing an increasingly bigger role in the videos the star posts on social media, where the pair can often be seen playing football together.
Cristiano spoke about the future of his son on the programme, saying: "I want my boy to be a footballer. I'm a football player and I want him to be one, too. I think he has what it takes to be an athlete, he has all the characteristics of one. Obviously he is very young; he is only five years old, but he loves football, so that's already an advantage. I have thirty footballs at home, and he always has one with him and he loves it. I'm not going to force him into becoming a footballer as that is something that has to come naturally. But obviously I want Cristiano to be a player. A top player, like his dad", he concluded.
