Anthony Martial looked to be on good spirits with his wife Samantha after returning home soon after Manchester United's 1-0 win over Manchester City in Sunday's derby clash at Etihad Stadium.

The 20-year-old French striker played the full 90 minutes as Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game in the first half to hand Louis van Gaal's men victory over their bitter local rivals and reignite their top-four hopes.

Martial wasted little time in returning home with his wife after the game, and snapped the selfie above with his partner.

Samantha Martial uploaded the picture above onto her personal Instagram account on Sunday evening and wrote: "After game"

Sunday's win left United sixth in the Premier League table but just one point behind fourth-placed City heading into the final eight games of the season.

Next up for United is a home clash against Everton at Old Trafford after the international break on Sunday 3 April.
