For a club with Liverpool’s history, fan base and reputation, a stadium with a capacity of less than 45,000 is simply not good enough, not grand enough. So, not before its time, Anfield is currently under development.

The main stand is under the knife, the surgeons are craning over that side of the stadium in an effort to increase the overall capacity by 8,500 people. It’s a start.
