"I like ladies to call me Cristiano and gents Ronaldo"

Cristiano or Ronaldo? There has never been a unanimous decision regarding what to call the Portuguese Real Madrid star. He has always worn Ronaldo on the back of his shirt, whether with a 9 or a 7, playing with Manchester United or Portugal. That said, in Spain, fans and the media usually lean towards a first name.

"I don't have a problem with people calling me one name or the other, but I like it more when ladies call me Cristiano and gents call me Ronaldo, as it's more manly. With my closest friends, Cris is better".
