Joan Laporta was Barcelona president between 2003 and 2010.

Originally a lawyer, Laporta also served as an MP in the Parliament of Catalonia between 2010 and 2012.

It seems fair to say that Joan Laporta should not be getting involved in the endless social media war between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

At the age of 53, you would expect Laporta to be above this kind of thing!

On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty to put Real Madrid 2-0 up at Malaga.

Carlos Kameni pulled off a fine save for Malaga from Ronaldo's spot kick, and they equalised in the second half. As a result, Real Madrid are 9 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, which looks an insurmountable target.

Before Real Madrid's win at Roma in midweek, Cristiano Ronaldo famously discussed Leo Messi's pass penalty for Luis Suarez to score in Barcelona's rout of Celta Vigo.

Ronaldo said the following:

So, Laporta's meme on Facebook after Real Madrid's draw with Malaga read: "I know why I missed the penalty, but I'm not gonna say it." See below.

Cheeky!

As some have suggested, perhaps Laporta will use the Joleon Lescott excuse of his phone posting the message itself or simply blame Gerard Pique, who enjoys Trolling Real Madri at every opportunity.
