Despite being over in Spain, Gareth Bale has not lost many of the traditions from back home in the UK, such as the custom of eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras), the day before Ash Wednesday. He tweeted some adorable pictures of himself and his daughter Alba in the kitchen getting their crepe on.
The Welshman is keeping his spirits up in spite of suffering a setback in his recovery from a calf injury that will see him spend another one to two weeks on the sidelines, meaning he has been all but ruled out of next Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first leg against Roma.
