A small group of Espanyol fans who attended Wednesday's Spanish Cup last sixteen game against Barcelona at Cornellà had planned to throw a piglet's head at Piqué from the stands.

They confirmed as much on Catalunya Radio, even showing the animal's head, a photo which quickly went viral on social media. They had planned a repeat of events that took place at the Camp Nou when Luis Figo returned to the stadium in Real Madrid colours.
