BROODY star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has bought a baby’s cot in the wake of her love split agony.

The X Factor judge Cheryl got the bed for a makeshift nursery after meeting 16- month-old Bobby – the son of ex-Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh.

She revealed that smitten Cheryl had snapped up the tiny bed so the toddler could stay at her £4million pad. She said: "Cheryl was well up for it."

But the 34-year-old admitted she was less than keen to let her tot spend the night away. She said: "I think maybe when he’s a bit older."

Cheryl gave up a chance of having her own family for the time being when she split with husband of 18 months JeanBernard Fernandez-Versini, 35.

The 32-year-old singer filed for divorce last week after separating from the Frenchman five months ago, sources claim.

It comes a month after Cheryl learned that her previous husband, ex-footballer Ashley Cole, 35, is to be a dad.

Cheryl recently insisted her "exhausting" 12 nieces and nephews had shown her she was not ready for children.

She added: "I’m enjoying life as an aunt – that’s not changing any time soon." A spokesman for the star refused to comment.
