The Real Madrid squad went it alone and did not invite the club's coaching staff to their Christmas dinner at Madrid's Fox restaurant.
Taking full advantage of the lack of a Spanish Cup commitment after Cheryshev played, despite being suspended, in the game again Cadiz, the club's first-team squad closed ranks around a dining table to find the strength they need going into their final two games of the year against Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad.
The players fully understand the importance of ending 2015 on a high in order to hit the ground running in 2016 with all their hopes pinned on La Liga and the Champions League.
