Roberto Firmino sends message to his wife ahead of Liverpool v West Brom

Roberto Firmino has taken to social media to send a heartfelt birthday message to his wife as he and his Liverpool team-mates prepare for their Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old Brazilian played the full 90 minutes as Jurgen Klopp's men were held to a goalless draw by FC Sion in the Europa League on Thursday night, a result which confirmed the Reds' place in the last 32 as group winners.

The attacker will be expecting to feature when the Reds host the Baggies on Merseyside this weekend as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United last Sunday.

And Firmino used his personal Instagram account to send a message to his partner Larissa Pereira on her special day.

He shared the picture above and wrote: "My love. Today is the day to wish you much happiness, health, love and joy!

"Today is a date that deserves great celebration because today marks one of the great gifts of God to the world: you.

"An exemplary wife, wonderful mother, and a friend who many would like to have. God is by your side guiding you throughout your life path.

"It's a blessing to have you in my life, to be able to count on you, and you can always count on me, for better or worse.

"I wish you all the happiness in the world #mylove #happybirthday."

The Liverpool starlet met Pereira at a nightclub in 2013 and the couple also have a baby daughter together.

Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
