Are you ready for a very Messi Christmas?

Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi already getting into the Christmas spirit.

The 28-year-old posted a photo on his Instagram account with his family on Friday, with his sons Thiago and Mateo dressed in Superman pyjamas.

Messi’s partner Antonella Roccuzzo was also part of the family snap which was taken in front of a Christmas tree.

To accompany the image, Messi wrote: "Waiting for Papa Noel [Father Christmas] with my family. With my Superheroes.”

Messi is expected to start for Barcelona on Saturday against Deportivo La Coruna.

Images of him clutching his hamstring in Wednesday’s draw with Bayer Leverkusen had set alarm bells ringing earlier this week.

He then missed training on Thursday for “personal reasons” to add to the mystery.

However, he trained with his team-mates on Friday and Luis Enrique confirmed he’s in “perfect” condition for the game against Depor.

Neymar, though, will miss out with a groin strain.
