Passing the ball on for solidarity

Cesc Fabregas took the time out to go to the French Embassy in Madrid and pay his respects to the victims of the Paris massacres.

Having agreed to meet MARCA for an interview at the Puerta de Alcala, Cesc spoke to us at length, but something else was clearly on his mind. "I'd like to do something to show my solidarity", he stated ten minutes in.

And so, representing the Spanish national football team, Spanish sport and all of Spain, Cesc left a football among the flowers and messages of support that have been placed in front of the embassy as a show of solidarity. A true champion's gesture.
