David De Gea was all smiles as he posed for a picture with Michael Carrick ahead of Manchester United’s derby showdown with Manchester City on Sunday.
Carrick was an unused substitute as Louis van Gaal’s men came from a goal down to secure a 1-1 with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League in Russia on Wednesday night.
De Gea played the full 90 minutes for the Red Devils as they headed back to Manchester with a point.
And the goalkeeper has already turned his attentions to Sunday’s derby clash with local rivals City at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
De Gea posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Thursday morning and wrote: “Back to Manchester, can’t wait for the derby! #MUFC @manchesterunited”
United head into Sunday’s game two points behind City and knowing that victory would move them above their local rivals, who are currently top of the table.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men warmed up for the weekend’s clash with a 2-1 win over Sevilla at Etihad Stadium.
