Spain's taxman goes after Adriano Correia
FOR TAX FRAUD

Spain's tax authorities are launching legal proceedings against Adriano Correia to reclaim close to one million euros in unpaid taxes. The reason for the case is very similar to that of the one against Javier Mascherano: how income from image rights earned in tax havens was declared.
The country's tax authorities believe that Adriano should have declared the income in Spain, given that is where he lives and works, and he, therefore, owes the taxman some money. Just as Mascherano did in an almost identical situation previously, Adriano may consider the possibility of paying the outstanding amount as soon as possible. In doing so, the Barça full-back would avoid a drawn-out and tedious court case.
Authorities are being particularly meticulous with these types of cases. It emerged last week that they were taking legal action against Mascherano and now it is the Brazilian's turn.
