LOUIS VAN GAAL admits his wife will decide how long he remains in charge of Manchester United.

Van Gaal is under contract at Old Trafford until the end of next season but has hinted he is prepared to sign a new deal.
Starsport revealed last week that United bosses have put the Dutchman on-trial and told him to earn a contract extension.

Former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said last week that Van Gaal could stay on longer because the club is "a hard place to leave".
Van Gaal, 64, admits he agrees with Fergie, but revealed on the eve of United's crunch Champions League showdown with Wolfsburg at Old Trafford that outstaying his welcome might land him in trouble with wife Truus.
He promised her he would retire from management once his current deal ends in 2017 and he said: "Normally I shall leave after next year, but what is normal in our football world?

"You never know, so I cannot answer that question, but I promised my wife to go with her to our paradise (villa) in Portugal, so it shall be very hard for me to deny that promise.
"I was 57 when I went to Bayern Munich and then, by that time, I am 65 and say I stay a year longer (at Manchester United)? It shall be very hard for my wife."
