David Beckham gets emotional delivering speech about child welfare at UN event

As well as being a model and product endorser, David Beckham’s philanthropy is often overlooked.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid man is heavily involved in several charitable initiatives and is a regular voice for the less advantaged.

Speaking at a UN event today, Becks showed just how much his philanthropy means to him, as he got a little choked up while delivering a speech about child welfare.

Becks said afterwards that he hopes the UN initiative will strike a chord with leaders around the world.
