Syrian refugee child Zaid Abdul fulfilled his dream after several days full of surprises since his arrival in Spain. He got to walk out onto the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu wearing the Real Madrid kit alongside Cristiano Ronaldo before the game against Granada.
Every Real Madrid player held Zaid's hand to pose for photos in the minutes before the start of the match. The Portuguese footballer was looking out for the Syrian boy at all times. The child visited his idol and the rest of the Real squad at the club's training complex yesterday with his father Osama Abdul Mohsen and his brother Mohammad.
At the complex he was photographed with the Portuguese player, and also posed for a photo with Pepe, Kiko Casilla, Denis Cheryshev, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez. He also met club president Florentino Perez and visited the Bernabeu.
The dreams of Osama Abdul Mohsen and his children continue to come true after fleeing their country, when an image shook the world on the border between Serbia and Hungary. A journalist tripped up Zaid's father while he was carrying his child as he tried to cross the border.
