David De Gea’s girlfriend Edurne Garcia celebrates her man’s return to Man United

A tweet from the girlfriend of Manchester United keeper David De Gea court people’s attentions on Saturday night, as the Spanish stopper turned out for his first Premier League game of the season against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

It’s been an all round crazy season for De Gea already, despite the fact the keeper has barely played any football.

It looked a nailed-on certainty that De Gea would leave Man United to join Real Madrid for most of the summer, but at the last minute the transfer imploded.

De Gea has since returned to Manchester, and signed a new four year deal with the Red Devils.

During the summer, as rumours swished around of De Gea’s supposed Spanish return, one factor which was being cited was the rumoured opinion of the player’s girlfriend, Edurne Garcia.

Edurne, who recently represented Spain at the Eurovision song contest, was thought to be hoping her man would return to Spain to live.

As we now know that never happened, but on Saturday Edurne seemed very happy De Gea was back at United.
