Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois tweets from hospital bed ahead of knee surgery

Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois tweeted from his hospital bed this evening, ahead of the knee surgery he needs to undergo, having picked up an injury on international duty with Belgium.
It’s a huge blow to Chelsea and Courtois personally, whose season had already suffered a very inauspicious start.
The Belgian got sent off on the opening day of the season, meaning Asmir Begovic was called upon to fill in while Courtois served his ban.
Courtois returned for the defeat to Crystal Palace, and that now looks like being his last appearance until the new year, with early estimations speculating that he’ll be out for 3 months recuperating from the surgery.
That means Begovic will be required for the rest of the calendar year, and while a very able keeper in his own right, Mourinho may be secretly regretting selling Petr Cech to Arsenal…
