Harry Kane's childhood sweetheart made a romantic gesture to the Tottenham Hotspur star on Wednesday

Harry Kane’s girlfriend took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to pay tribute to the Tottenham Hotspur star with a unique romantic gesture.

The Spurs striker’s childhood sweetheart Katie Goodland carved a message into the foundations of their new house and uploaded a picture of the gesture on social media.

Goodland shared the picture above on her personal Instagram account and wrote: "My input at the house today#cantwaittillitsdone"

Kane was in sensational form for Tottenham last season as he scored 29 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the League Cup runners-up after the striker forced his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team at White Hart Lane.

He was also named the PFA young player of the year as Spurs ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table.

The 22-year-old forward is yet to get off the mark for the north London side in the Premier League this season, despite starting all four of Spurs’ top-flight games.
