Matteo Darmian used his new Instagram account to post a photo of a stunning piece of fan artwork featuring the Manchester United defender.

The Italy international joined the Red Devils from Torino earlier this summer and made his Premier League debut for Louis van Gaal’s side in the 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Darmian joined Instagram earlier this week, and the 25-year-old used the popular photo-sharing app to give his fans a glimpse into some of the fan artwork he has received.

He posted a picture of the pencil drawing above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: "Beautiful portrait from a fan. Thank you."

Darmian, who was handed the No36 shirt at Old Trafford, will be expecting to feature when United head to Aston Villa in their next Premier League game on Friday night.

A victory would move the Red Devils to the top of the table ahead of the full round of top-flight fixtures this weekend.
