Mesut Ozil headed to meet up with the Arsenal squad on Saturday evening ahead of their clash with West Ham

Mesut Ozil looked chilled out as he headed to join up with the Arsenal squad on Saturday evening ahead of their Premier League opener against West Ham United.

The Gunners are preparing to kick off their top-flight campaign with a home clash against the Hammers at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they bid to start the season with a win.

And Ozil looked relaxed as he drove to meet up with Arsene Wenger’s side ahead of their tie against the east London side.

The Germany playmaker shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: "Today BPL started… Tomorrow is our turn to kick start our season… On my way to join the team… #YaGunnersYa #Ozil #özil"

Ozil scored four goals in 22 Premier League games last season after missing three months of the campaign with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez is not expected to be fit to feature for Arsenal on Sunday after only returning to training last week following his extended summer holiday after the Copa America.
