Adidas accidentally leak Man Utd’s new kit in America

Manchester United’s new Adidas shirt for the 2015/16 season has mistakenly gone on sale in a store in the United States despite the kit not being officially unveiled, as reported by the Independent.

The Red Devils’ deal with their current kit manufacturer Nike does not expire until the end of this month meaning that the Old Trafford outfit are one of the last teams in the Premier League to release images of their new garments.

That doesn’t appear to have stopped employees at Dick’s Sporting Goods in America placing the shirt on the rails and selling them to the general public. A customer snapped a few images of the item, which appears to be on sale for $90 alongside Bayern Munich and Real Madrid replicas.

United will continue to be sponsored by Chevrolet this season but Louis van Gaal will be hoping that the similarities with the previous campaign end there. The Red Devils scored 62 goals in the league last term, but inconsistencies and poor results saw them slump to a fourth place finish.

Van Gaal has made major acquisitions this summer though bringing in the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian and Memphis Depay, who will all help United considerably as the club look to mount a title challenge and re-establish themselves as a force in Europe.

The team are currently on a pre-season tour of America and Van Gaal’s troops have already played Club America and San Jose Earthquakes, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain still to come.
