Jamie Carragher accuses Manchester United legend Gary Neville of handpicking Liverpool's first seven away fixtures
Jamie Carragher has accused Gary Neville of handpicking Liverpool’s daunting fixtures at the start of the Premier League season.
Liverpool face Stoke City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City in their first seven away games of the 2015/16 campaign.
And Reds legend Carragher was quick to blame former United defender and his fellow Sky Sports pundit Neville for the Merseyside outfit’s uncomfortable away games.
The Reds start their campaign with a return to Stoke City after suffering a humiliating 6-1 defeat by the Potters on the final day of the 2014/15 season.
Liverpool’s next away game is against FA Cup winners Arsenal on 22 August followed by a trip to bitter rivals United on 12 September.
It doesn’t get any easier for Brendan Rodgers’s side after their Old Trafford game, with their next away game the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on 3 October.
The Reds face two trips to London in October with games at Tottenham Hotspur and Premier League champions Chelsea before a horrible run of away games finishes with the short journey to The Etihad.
