10 months and a day

Cristiano Ronaldo is just about to round off a season that he started on 12th August in Cardiff, having so far played 5,028 minutes in 59 games - going on 32 away trips in the process - and notched up a total of 63 goals.

The Portuguese first strapped his boots on 10 months and one day ago. The mercurial forward is preparing to put them on again for Portugal's clash with Armenia, the last competitive game and second-last fixture overall of a long season, which will eventually end on Tuesday in Geneva with a friendly against Italy.

Ronaldo has used every ounce of his incredible physical resilience. At the age of 30 the Real star has once again played in every game he was able to, for both 'Los Blancos' and Portugal.

He's only been on the losing side five times for the 'Merengues' and twice with his national side, having got something from every other match he's played in. He's not one for saving his energy and taking rests; it's all guns blazing all the time for CR7.

So having started the campaign way back on 12th August 2014 in Cardiff, for the UEFA Super Cup, he'll still be clocking up the miles on 13th June 2015.

CR7 is about to complete one of the toughest seasons of his career. And he's going to do so having overcome doubts about his physical condition at the start of the season. Having brushed the doubters aside, he's now preparing to play game number 60 against Armenia, a crucial encounter for Portugal's hopes of making it to the European Championship in France.
