John Terry was all smiles with his wife Toni as the Chelsea captain enjoyed some well-earned downtime in the Maldives.

The Blues skipper looked in good spirits as he posed for a snap with his partner on the beach in the sunshine on Saturday.

The veteran defender returned to the UK with the Chelsea squad last month after the west London club’s post-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

Terry was an integral part of the Chelsea side last season as Jose Mourinho’s men won their fourth Premier League title and also tasted success in the League Cup.

The former England captain scored five goals as he featured in all 38 of the north London side’s Premier League games last term.

He also scored twice and made two assists in the Champions League for the west London club before they were beaten by PSG in the last 16.
