Arsenal duo Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski were all smiles after helping Germany thrash Gibraltar 7-0 on Saturday night.

Ozil played the full 90 minutes as the world champions eased to a comfortable victory in their Euro 2016 Group D qualifier, with Andre Schurrle netting a hat-trick.

Podolski, who spent last season on loan to Serie A side Inter Milan from Arsenal, was a second-half substitute as Joachim Low’s men signed off for the summer with an impressive display.

And the Arsenal pair were clearly pleased to be back on the same team, as they posed for a picture in the dressing room after the game, along with one-time Gunners transfer target Sami Khedira.

Ozil posted the picture above of the trio on his Instagram account on Saturday night and wrote: “7:0 … in the end but still a good result… now summer holidays #diemannschaft #EuropeanQualifiers #DFBTeam #Mira”

Podolski recently said that he expects to return to Arsenal ahead of next season, despite being linked with a permanent move away from Emirates Stadium.
