Jose Mourinho destroys Man United & Arsenal during POTY awards speech

This might well be the post-season of managers letting their hair down at end of season award ceremonies.

Last week it was Louis van Gaal. Tonight it was the turn of Jose Mourinho at the Chelsea Player of the Year awards.

Jose Mourinho took to the stage to cheers at the Chelsea POTY awards and immediately took aim at Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.

First, Mourinho mentioned last season, when his Chelsea side beat champions Manchester City and second placed Liverpool twice respectively, but still finished third.

The Special One then continued and told a “fiction story” – with the aid of graphics – where the Chelsea boss first takes aim at Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal’s side famously had much more possession than Chelsea during their meeting at Stamford Bridge, but lost 1-0 to the Blues.

Then Mourinho had a go at Manchester City before using his graphics and wit to lay into Arsenal and their tippy-tappy football.

Mourinho even jokes about Arsenal just playing the 2014/2015 season from January to April. Towards the end, he mentions the Chelsea bus but you can’t help thinking that this was a team talk for his side to take heed of from the start of next season.
