Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard today (likely) played his final ever game at Stamford Bridge in a 1-1 draw with the Premier League champions.
Having scored the equaliser, Chelsea fans were in no mood to be kind to their ‘dear enemy’ until he was substituted off the pitch.
Chelsea fans in the stands were seen on TV showing off their laminated signs mocking Steven Gerrard as he came off the pitch.
The Liverpool legend famously slipped last season in the title decider to let Demba Ba in to score.
Gerrard was treated to a standing ovation from the home support as he exited the pitch, despite their signs taunting the 34 year old midfielder.
Twitter was quick to deride the Chelsea fans for their ridiculous laminated signs.
