Not all footballers are nice guys but Ashley Young seems to be the genuine article.
The Manchester United midfielder made headlines in late 2013 when he answered an open fan request to treat his terminally ill father to a special day.
Young was as good as his word and allowed the lifelong United fan to experience the game in the comfort of a hospitality box with his family.
Now Young is back in the news for helping out a Manchester City fan who got in a selfie with him.
Annie Taylor was engaging in a bit of banter about the photo when she was chatting with friends on Twitter. She said that he had broken the screen while taking the snap.
At the mention of his name, Young appeared to offer an apology and to cover payments for the damage!
Clearly this good karma has fed into his performances on the pitch as Young is enjoying a renaissance season at Old Trafford.
