Pique to go to court after incident with police

Gerard Pique has been ordered to appear in court this Thursday for a lack of respect and disregard of authority as a result of the incident involving local police last October.

According to La Vanguardia, the hearing will take place at the City of Justice in L'Hospitalet. The Barcelona player can delegate to a legal representative as trials for a minor offence permit the defendant not to attend in person. The maximum punishment that Pique could receive is an €18,000 fine.
