Liverpool's Raheem Sterling was turned down by Tulisa when he tried to date the popstar

The Sun on Monday have a story concerning the love life of Liverpool star Raheem Sterling.

According to the tabloid, Sterling recently tried to make a move to date UK popstar and X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, however the Liverpool man had his approach turned down.

Noticeably, Sterling was spotted to have started making moves on Tulisa via Instagram a couple of weeks ago.

The 20-year-old midfielder was caught out on Instagram commenting on the former X Factor judge's photo as well as liking one of her videos.

At some point in between stalking Tulisa on Instagram and the present day, Sterling mustered up the courage to ask the 26-year-old popstar out, however Tulisa is said to have turn down the Reds forward claiming he was too young.

For the record Sterling is 20-years-old.
