Man Utd's Wayne Rooney takes part in kick-about with sons

Wayne Rooney had to play referee when the Manchester United enjoyed an impromptu kick-about with his sons Kai and Klay on Tuesday afternoon.

The Red Devils skipper was powerless to prevent United suffering a 1-0 defeat by Southampton at Old Trafford on Sunday, ending their impressive 11-game unbeaten run.

However, Rooney didn't waste much time before donning his football boots again as he joined his young sons for a game of football in the back garden.

Rooney posted the above photo on Instagram, adding the following caption:

"Football in the garden with the boys. There's a bit of a stand off going on....can anyone guess what the problem is?"

We have a solution, perhaps Daddy should go in goal!

The 29-year-old striker has scored eight goals and has made four assists in 17 Premier League appearance since Louis van Gaal made the striker his new United captain.
