Rumours fly that Cristiano Ronaldo & Irina Shayk have split after Ballon d’Or & social media silence

Rumours are flying round gossip sites on Tuesday claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk have split.
Rather than having any quotes or pictures in their arsenal to fuel the break-up talk, the speculation has been stirred by what's not happened in the past 24 hours.
12 months ago, at the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or, Cristiano's supermodel Russian girlfriend accompanied the Real Madrid star at the event, and afterwards the duo were gushing about Ronaldo's achievement on social media.
By contrast, not only was Irina Shayk absent in Zurich on Monday, but Cristiano Ronaldo noticeably failed to mention his partner in his thank you speech after winning the Ballon d'Or award.
Whilst that non namedrop is far from evidence of a lovers rift, many have also noticed that Irina Shayk has failed to congratulate her man on any social media platform, which is indeed much odder.
For the record, Irina Shayk has had time in the past few days to upload pictures of a coconut and some bathing suits shots on Instagram in the past 48 hours.
