Oldham Athletic AFC 0 - 4 Yeovil Town - Johnson senior takes the honours

Gary Johnson won the managerial battle against his son Lee as Yeovil romped to a 4-0 victory at Oldham.

The Glovers boosted their fight against relegation with a superb performance, as the Latics suffered a blow to their play-off hopes.

Yeovil went in front after 21 minutes when Stephen Arthurworrey's bullet header from a corner thudded back off a post and he reacted quickest to fire in his own close-range rebound.

The lead was doubled seven minutes later when Oldham failed to deal with Jordan Clarke's diagonal pass, allowing Simon Gillett to steal in behind the defence and score from 10 yards.

Oldham went close to pulling a goal back through Mike Jones, but it was 3-0 after 40 minutes as a blunder from home defender Genseric Kusunga gifted Sam Hoskins the chance to slot in a 12-yard finish.

Sam Foley could have added Yeovil's fourth just after the break, while Tom Eaves also wasted two clear openings for the Glovers.

They rounded off their win in stoppage time when Kieffer Moore drilled in a shot from the edge of the box.
