Airdrie United 3 - 1 Dunfermline - Blockley bags again

Posted Sunday, December 14, 2014 by PA

Nathan Blockley scored his third goal of the season as Airdrieonians recorded a convincing 3-1 victory over Dunfermline.

The hosts got the ball rolling in the third minute when Bryan Prunty scored his second goal of the season, tucking the ball past Dunfermline goalkeeper Ryan Scully from the middle of the box.

The Diamonds doubled their lead 10 minutes after the break when Blockley found the bottom corner of the net.

Airdrieonians went 3-0 up just after the hour mark as Marc Fitzpatrick rifled the ball into the top of Scully's net after good work by Prunty.

The Pars grabbed a consolation with six minutes to go when Gregor Buchanan nodded home from the middle of the box.
