Tottenham are chasing £4million-rated Anderlecht winger Andy Najar.
RADAR: Spurs want to bring the Honduras star to north London
The Honduras star, who is under contract until June 2018, has been earning rave reviews in Belgium.
Spurs scouts watched him in action against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last week and sent back glowing reports to Mauricio Pochettino.
It was the second time in two weeks Spurs have watched a player they had on trial as a teenager, and Pochettino is now weighing up a January move.
Najar starred for Honduras at the World Cup in Brazil after turning his back on the chance to play for the USA.
Still only 21, the former MLS rookie of the year with DC United already has 20 caps for his country and is tipped for a big future.
Nicknamed The Little Warrior, he is also being watched by clubs in Spain and Italy, but Tottenham are the favourites to sign him.
Spurs will send scouts to watch him again when Anderlecht host Arsenal in the Champions League later this month.
