Livingston vs Alloa Athletic preview - Livi missing injured trio

Livingston are looking for the win that will take them above Alloa in the Championship.

But they do so without goalkeeper Kevin Walker, skipper Simon Mensing and summer signing Declan Gallagher due to knee injuries.

Brad Donaldson is also missing due to an ankle problem, with manager John McGlynn looking for his men to build on last weekend's success when they secured a Petrofac Training Cup semi-final berth at Morton.

McGlynn said: "That was a real boost to everyone and hopefully we can carry on the good feeling by getting a win over Alloa and climbing the table.

"However they will see this as an opportunity to pull further clear so it will be tough."

Alloa's matchwinner in their recent 2-1 win over Hibs midfielder Iain Flannigan is a major injury doubt for the Wasps.

Goalkeeper John Gibson and Adam Ashgar have both returned to full fitness with manager Barry Smith looking to keep his side's good form going.

Smith said: "In our last four games we played well before losing to Premiership Hamilton in the Scottish League Cup but defeated Cowdenbeath and Hibs in the league and then Morton in the Petrofac Cup.

"We have some confidence in the ranks now and it would be terrific to add a win to Livingston to that run, however it will be far from easy."
