Stevenage Borough vs York City preview - Zola set for Stevenage start
Posted Friday, September 05, 2014 by PA
Stevenage striker Calvin Zola is in line for his first league start against York after recovering from a hamstring problem.
Zola came on as a late substitute in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat against Gillingham and could be promoted to the starting line-up.
Bira Dembele is a doubt after missing the last two games through injury, while Harry Worley (knee) is unlikely to feature again this season and Dean Parrett (also knee) is still sidelined.
Boro are striving for consistency after two wins, two defeats and a draw from their opening five games.
York boss Nigel Worthington is hoping striker Wes Fletcher can overcome a hamstring strain in time.
Fletcher returned from a knee injury in the midweek Trophy defeat at Barnsley, but was withdrawn at half-time as a precaution after feeling his hamstring and was replaced by Jake Hyde.
Worthington has no other new injury or suspension worries as his side bid for their first league win of the season following a run of five straight draws.
Midfielder Lewis Montrose is pushing for a recall, while teenage striker Ben Hirst and centre-half Dave Winfield are also in contention.
