Burton Albion FC vs York City preview - No new worries for Brewers

Burton have no new problems as the Sky Bet League Two leaders prepare to face hard-to-beat York.

Knee injuries keep Lee Bell, Damien McCrory and Jimmy Phillips on the sidelines as Albion look to extend their unbeaten run to nine games at the beginning of the season. However, left-back McCrory could be back in full training in two weeks.

The Brewers beat Portsmouth 2-0 last weekend to go to the top of the table, and goalscorers Adam McGurk and Lucas Akins will look to continue their good form.

Marcus Harness will be pushing for a recall after some promising performances earlier in the campaign, while the likes of Jacob Blyth, Callum McFadzean, Dominic Knowles and Matty Palmer are also options for Burton boss Gary Rowett.

York manager Nigel Worthington could name an unchanged starting line-up for the third game running following last week's first win of the season at Stevenage.

Striker Wes Fletcher returned from a hamstring strain to score twice and is expected to start alongside Michael Coulson, with Jake Hyde on the substitutes' bench.

Worthington has no new injury or suspension problems, while midfielder Tom Platt is pushing for a recall to the squad following a recent ankle injury.

York are looking to extend their club-record unbeaten run to 24 league matches. The Minstermen's last defeat in a regular league game was on January 28 against Chesterfield.
