London (AFP) - Spanish pair Chico Flores and Pablo Hernandez have both left Swansea City for teams in Qatar, the Premier League club announced on Thursday.
Both players have left for undisclosed fees, with centre-back Chico joining forces with former Swansea manager Michael Laudrup at Qatari champions Lekhwiya and attacking midfielder Hernandez moving to Al-Arabi.
The pair both arrived in 2012 and helped Swansea achieve League Cup success in 2013.
"It feels like I am leaving my family," Chico said. "I have really enjoyed my time here. When we won the cup it was one of the best moments in my career."
Chico, 27, signed from Italian club Genoa in July 2012 and went on to make 75 appearances for Swansea.
Hernandez, 29, became Swansea's record signing the following month when he arrived for a fee of £5.55 million ($9.3 million, 6.9 million euros) from Valencia.
The Spain international played 57 games for the Welsh side, but his time at the Liberty Stadium was hampered by injury.
