Becks off on a high

LOS ANGELES want to send David Beckham out of MLS on an all-time high next week when the Galaxy bid for a second straight title.
The December 1 final against Housten will be his last game.
Skipper Landon Donovan — a loan target for Everton — said: “It’s been an inspiration being on the same team as him.
“Now, we all want to make sure he goes out a winner in the title game and that his lasting memory here is a good one.”
Beckham, 37, said: “I’m just very proud to have been part of a league that has grown as it has in the last six years.
“It is amazing to have been part of that.
“To be playing one last final in our own ground in front of our own fans, is extra special.”
Donovan, 30, admits he did not always see eye-to-eye with Becks when he first arrived in Los Angeles.
The American added: “We haven’t always got along, especially in the beginning.
“With all the attention and all the pressure and all the eyeballs on him, it wasn’t easy, and I think a lot of people forget that side of it.
“But David’s a good person and I’ve grown a lot since he’s been here.
“We’re all very happy for him that he’s ready to move on and do whatever comes next.”
LA Galaxy have been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
